I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Leekes in June 2019
Interview
I applied through a job board for a job in the garden centre and the advertised salary was £8+ per hour. I get a phone call and am asked to come in the next day which was very short notice but I was still able to go. When I arrive they tell me that the job is for the cafe and not the garden centre as I had applied for. Some of the questions revolved around this but they were common sense which was fine. I ask how much they pay per hour, just to be clear and they tell me it’s just above minimum wage which was not the amount advertised on the job posting. I complete the interview which is fine, albeit not the most professional interview I’ve been to, but still fine. They tell me they’ll be in touch but they never do, not even to tell me I did not get the job.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Leekes (Hensol, Wales) in Aug 2017
Interview
I was sat in the reception area with clients and staff members around, asked a small amount of questions, when i could work, if i was reliable etc. Then was left for 2 hours to fill out paper work while they went back to work. They didn't look at anything that i was asked to bring in and when i was shown around the whole process was rushed and was cut short. The whole process put me off a bit but i was willing to give it a shot. I was told that the interview would be an hour, tops. It ended up being about 3 hours and 2 of those i was filling out paperwork.
