I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at LexisNexis Legal & Professional (Charlottesville, VA) in Apr 2012
Interview
Casual meeting with several people at once. Just sitting at a conference table. Only one interview and I was done. Non-threatening environment, for sure. Dress very well of course but you'll be the best dressed person at the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very casual not out of some interviewing book. Sort of a "what have you been doing" and "here is what you would do here...what do you think?" The people were very relaxed and made me at ease. I think they were eager to hire someone and were not very demanding. I think this would be the experience with most people interviewing here.
I interviewed at LexisNexis Legal & Professional (New York, NY)
Interview
There were 3 virtual interviews, 30 minutes each. Experiential and situational questions. The interviewers were very personable, tone was conversational. Follow up after each one was no longer than a week.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give an example of when you failed and what did you learn from that.
Star Interview Method -- The interviewer expressed more interest in my current position than in my prior work history, which I thought had more relevance. There was an entry level interview with an HR person and then a second interview with the hiring manager.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time you had a difficult time working with someone else and how did you handle it?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at LexisNexis Legal & Professional in June 2021
Interview
Phone interview with HR, then interviews with three team members (two managers and one analyst in the same position as the job opportunity). The latter interviews were over Zoom. Very friendly team.
