I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lightspeed in Dec 2025
Interview
The first interview was with someone from HR, where she introduced the company and explained what the company does (I already knew this because I had researched and prepared for the interview). After some time, I received an invitation to participate in a second stage, which would be a more technical interview and a System Design challenge with an Engineering Manager. Unfortunately, during that time I got sick and requested to reschedule, and they were understanding and gave me a new date.
The technical interview was also smooth; the interviewer was nice, made me feel comfortable, and I was able to answer all the questions he asked me. The System Design challenge was also straightforward, and the interview lasted approximately 2 hours in total. Afterward, I had the opportunity to ask my own questions.
After about a week and a few days, I received an email saying they would not be moving forward with me, and that if I wanted feedback, I could schedule a call. I thought that was unnecessary and just asked them to send the feedback by email instead. A few days later, the same job opening I had applied for reappeared on LinkedIn.
Even though I wasn't invited to further stages, and I believe the role wasn't overly demanding in technical terms and I don't know the real reasons that led them to reject me, the process was good overall… I have a slight impression that it had more to do with cultural fit and open-mindedness when making the decision.

Question 1
Describe projects that were challenges in my career and why. Please note, do not give a vague or made-up answer, as he will probe deeply and try to understand whether it is a real case.
