I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 10 months. I interviewed at Linguamatics (Cambridge, England) in Mar 2020
Interview
Starts off well, but ended appallingly on their part.
Bit of background, I really wanted this job, went the extra mile in my application and tasks in the interview process.
Review of the interview process:
The initial stages are fine, the problem cones well you get to the last stage.
They ask you to do a 4-12 hour project over a weekend (so on average a full working day for free). This was a first for me, as I typically like to get paid for my working. But I want the job, so I throw my full energy into it, 12 hours later, project finished.
I hand it in and get an email back saying they will be in touch by the end of the week. End of the week rolls up, no email. Hmm, that is strange, so I email to see what is happening, after another week, no reply...
So this time I email the job recruiter (the middle man between the company and I, he emails on my behalf, still nothing after another week. I start seeing a pattern. Couple months afterwards... You guessed it, still nothing.
If this is how they treat someone who wants to work for them and puts in the extra effort, I can't in my right mind recommend anyone to work for them!
Save your time, this company isn't worth yours!
