I applied online. I interviewed at Liongard (Houston, TX) in June 2020
Interview
From start to finish the process took much longer than normal due to a hiring delay caused by the pandemic. However, once the ball was rolling the actual interview process itself was very quick and took jus a little over a month.
Interviews consisted of a quick chat with a lead dev. Then the option of either a small programming project or a formal technical interview. I chose the programming project, which was followed up with a code review and peer programming session. After that was a short chat with another lead dev and then a behavioral interview with him and the project manager. And then finally to wrap it up, a quick chat with the VP of Technology.
Overall all of the chats were very easygoing. The talk with the VP didn't feel like an interview at all, very much just a casual chat, we clicked immediately and talked about work I've done in the past as well as hobbies and literature. The programming project was interesting and challenging, any good programmer should be able to knock it out of the park and have fun with it. The toughest part was the behavioral interview. Make sure to study up on the company's core values and have good answers on how you can drive those forward.
