Was recruited from Care.com. Was told there were benefits and room for advancement and that they will pay for continued education. (What they didn't tell me in the interview was that it's only $50/yr. reimbursement.) Initially, management told me they "LOVED MY PASSION & POSITIVE ENERGY" and asked me to return the following day for a working-interview of 3hrs (unpaid). Np., I showed up.
In my working-interview, I didn't work with the age of children I was told I'd be working with. Not a big deal; it was a very positive experience! The head teacher kept going into the office and they had a contract drawn up for me by the time I left!! - They were super flexible on my start-date because I was in the middle of moving. They were VERY accommodating...then.
When I showed up for work on my start-date, I was surprised to find I was actually working with a completely DIFFERENT AGE than what I had done my working-interview in and the day would be COMPLETELY different than what I was expecting!! (I "interviewed" for Toddlers, but was placed with INFANTS...the only thing that was the same was the diapering procedures!)
