This was a few years ago, but honestly the experience was so strange I feel like it is worth mentioning.
They had me do a 3 day paid working trial, and during that time, the energy was very strange. I was essentially told that the only way to be successful was to schedule a meeting with everyone on the team to introduce myself (okay), but then seemingly people went out of their way to dodge me. This was treated as a "gotcha".
At one point, I made a small error in referring to a time zone and an employee told me about how others were gossiping about this mistake behind my back.
At another point, I was asked to shadow what would be my supervisor and she got on a call with another administrator and started asking demanding questions to her about her tasking (I felt like I was sitting and watching a disciplinary conversation). Wildly unprofessional to have a perfect stranger sit in on this.
In the end, they didn't hire me (I later learned they hired a relative of one of the leaders instead). Instead of sending me an email or giving me a quick phone call to let me know I was unsuccessful, they required me to book out another hour of my workday so they could do it by video. Overall, it was a very weird "prove yourself to us" experience while witnessing a lot of unprofessional behaviour.
