I interviewed at Lotis Blue Consulting (Chicago, IL)
Interview
I made it through 4 steps of the interview process consisting of a video interview with a consultant, assessment phase consisting of 4 separate tests, a timed 2.5 hour case study, and then video interview with the founder. After the founder interview, the team made me wait 2 weeks before rejecting me for the final in-person super day and did not provide any feedback. I would read the employee reviews of this place and avoid if you do not want your time wasted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Timed case study consisting of a data set that you must analyze and create a slide deck with recommendations, all within a 2.5 hour time limit.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Lotis Blue Consulting in Oct 2023
Interview
Interview process took around 2 months, which included 2 virtual interviews and 1 work sample. In my first ever experience of this, the work sample was rather basic, but required that I complete some basic questions based off an excel data AND create a presentation within a 2 hour period after speaking with the interviewer. This added some additional stress but was accomplishable.
Unfortunately, after the work sample, I received no feedback, not input, and was essentially ghosted. I followed up with my interviewee/recruiter, with promises for a follow up. It took a month and half after my last interview to receive an update that they hired someone else.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Lotis Blue Consulting in Nov 2023
Interview
The interview process was long and tedious. I had a networking conversation, an initial interview, a 3 hour long case study, another hour long interview, 3 or 4 assessments, then a day of three hour long in person interviews (2 behavioral 1 case) and lunch with some people, then a final hour long interview with the hiring manager. I spent hours and hours preparing, taking assessments, and interviewing with them only to get a generic email saying I didn't get the job (seems like an email you get after a company briefly parses your resume and turns you down), which is very frustrating. I would have appreciated being given a better idea of what the process looked like and how long it takes, but aside from that the recruiter was very communicative and friendly. Wasn't a good fit for me, I never really clicked with any of the people and retrospectively spent too much time on this company, but the people were very smart and enjoyed their work.

Question 1
Typical STAR questions, analytical case study (here's a ton of data, analyze it and answer questions, then create recommendations for client), a more scenario-based case study.
