Chat with in-house recruiter Alice went well, so I was really disappointed to get a generic rejection email through the ATS. After investing the time to record a video for the application and then speak with a member of the team it would have been nice to at least get the rejection from Alice directly as part of our existing email chain, even if it didn't contain any specific feedback on my performance. I was also told I'd hear back "early next week" but the generic rejection came on a Friday so I was left in the dark for some time - especially annoying as I was asked if I could interview sooner and I obliged, so getting through the process quickly seemed like a priority for them, but getting a response back to me, less so.
I also noticed that they increased the salary offer listed on the position after I applied, and from reading reviews it looks like someone else has also noticed this happen in regards a different role about 9 months prior. Moving salary goalposts mid-hiring is a bit of a red flag.
A real shame because my initial impression was great and I was very excited about the role. I continue to wish them all the best.
