I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in May 2011
Interview
First you sit down with the HR manager for a 30 minute structured interview. Then you get 30 minutes with one of the store managers. All the question are predetermined by Lowe's. They score your answers based on certain things they are looking for in the answer. If you do good you will be called back for a final interview by a different store manager to validate the first interviewers opinion.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask a lot of questions that start with " Think of a time when" and then they go into something like you were given a order that you thought was wrong or you had a conflict with a customer or co-worker. Then you are supposed to explain how you would handle it.
I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
Straight forward normal interview had questions about how I'd manage x amount of team members with x amounts of experience. but overall very basic interview with only differing questions on management styles/policy guidelines.
They wanted me to drool a little bit but that's not my style so they dismissed me as a serious candidate. They also expressed concern that I would not "be happy" there even though I thought I would.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in May 2021
Interview
They were situational questions. Tell me about a time. There was about 5 total questions that were asked. Overall the interview questions were easy, they are looking for someone who can be a problem solver, team player, and adaptable.
