I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Montgomery, AL) in July 2011
Interview
Simplistic and routine. Questions from government formula developed in the 60's. No real relative correlation between interview and the actual job. Positions awarded on a points system that is uneven and arbitary. If you teat drug free, you will most likely get hired.

Question 1
None really. What was unexpected was the level of professionalism of the interview and the hiring procedure. It reminded me of high school.
So easy that you just need to be a normal person to get hired, they really just look for someone who can help out every customer and who can do a little bit of manual labor. you should be hired asap
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Framingham, MA)
Interview
The company has a very easy interview process and after a simple interview they offer a position almost right away. There is only one in person interview and usually a call back within a few days
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time you went above and beyond to help a customer.
Laid back, personality oriented questions and general questions about how you would act in situations. Also questions about experience and why you want the job. One on one with HR, maybe a manager.
