I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Cicero, NY) in Oct 2013
Interview
Generic questions on your best and most challenging customer interactions from previous jobs. Nothing difficult. They hire 18-year-olds for these jobs. It's not rocket science. They do a drug test (on site) and background check -- very standard procedure for a retail job. It's good to have some prior service industry experience, but that will not disqualify you for this job.

Question 1
None. I didn't find any of the questions challenging. It is good to come into this job with some prior service industry experience, but there are people hired for the job I had who are right out of high school.
So easy that you just need to be a normal person to get hired, they really just look for someone who can help out every customer and who can do a little bit of manual labor. you should be hired asap
Laid back, personality oriented questions and general questions about how you would act in situations. Also questions about experience and why you want the job. One on one with HR, maybe a manager.
