I learned my first lesson by providing "free labor" at the early stage of my career 7 years ago. Now it happened again... Unfortunately it's a company I really like and passionate about. This is the price I'm willing to pay, and I indeed paid.
Fun facts:
1. Recruiter took the job posting down after we had our initial call, reason being "we want to focus on strong candidates like you".
2. Discrepancy between the interview process recruiter told me VS the actual interview process. I had to email recruiting coordinators back and forth seeking for alignment. For the record - they are confused too...
3. Interviewer yawning during my interview (maybe my "free labor" is not that exciting to him/her hehe). And there's a fine line between being harsh for good intention VS being condescending. Not sure if being respectful is even a thing here in this team.
I spent over 20 hours on the 3rd interview, which is a complete waste of my time. Horrible experience!
