      Technical Support Engineer Interview

      10 June 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Sofia, Sofia (city)
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LucidLink (Sofia, Sofia (city)) in May 2022

      Interview

I had 3 interviews over the course of 3 weeks. During the first interview I got to have a better understanding of the product and the company. It took around one hour, I got to meet the hiring manager, who gave me some homework tasks at the end of the call. The interview and the homework tasks were great, I got engaged by LucidLink at the very beginning. Once I was done with the homework and it got reviewed, I had a hands-on technical interview, which lasted for about 2 hours. It was again, great, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Before my last interview, I got to meet a few members of the team and get a peak into the office atmosphere. On my last interview, I got to meet the co-founder and CTO, and two directors. I was presented with the company values and principles, which turned out to be really close to my own values. I didn't think I could be more impressed by LucidLink at that point, but I was surprised in an extremely positive way. The transparency and fairness of the company is something you don't see every day. During the entire interviewing process, I felt like I had equal opportunities as anyone else, no matter my background or education - as long as I bring the right skills and mindset to the table. Knowing that everyone had to pull through the same or similar interview process, proving that they are the best choice for the job, solidified my decision to work there.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LucidLink

      Interview

The interview process was formed of multiple stages, each designed to gauge different aspects of your character, attitude, technical abilities and aspirations in the field. It felt like a feeler session for both LucidLink and myself to see if we were a match, rather than a typical interview which is a one-way street. I really felt like each stage was productive and had a purpose, from the technical side it was difficult at times but all for good reasons. Part of the process also involved meetings with senior members of LucidLink and felt very personal.

      Interview

I applied for Technical Support Engineer role last year, and shortlisted to move on to attend the Zoom call with Kiril Ivanov after HR screening . I had attended couple of rounds with him which were very professionally done. I like his way of interviewing as he didn't interrupt me in the all the rounds to put his next question. All went through awesome until the final round with David. HR also did an awesome job for all the communication done timely. However, I couldn't reached at the stage of getting offer letter. It might be some reason, so I welcomed the decision to move on. LucidLink is very active on LinkedIn so love to read it's growth's stories there. It's strength was 25 employees at the time of my interview, and now it reached 60+ employees. It has a big potential to grow. I definitely recommend to apply at LucidLink.

      Question 1

There were lot of questions asked in regards to my existing role, offered role, technical, cultural, etc. At the end, I have been given a task to give a video recorded demo for their products as given sometime to prepare it, and they appreciated to it.
