It was fairly simple from submitting an online application. The position sounded very rewarding and something that I wanted to pursue. After I submitted my application, I received an email about scheduling a 30-minute video interview. Again, it was fairly straight forward. Truthfully, I felt very good about the interaction and the company at this point. In addition, I followed up with an email message informing how I was interested in the position/company. About a week later, I received another email indicating that they would like to move forward with my application and that I would have another 30-minute video interview. I was provided with a link in terms of providing my availability. Unfortunately, I did not receive any sort of acknowledgement that my availability was received. Several days had passed and I received an email saying that they apologize for the delay, but it looks like they would need to re-schedule for the following week. I didn't find anything wrong with that and ask that if they could get back to me on when so that I could coordinate my schedule. In the meantime, I tried to do more research on the company by looking at their social media platforms, as well as here on Glassdoor. Sadly, some of the comments I read on Glassdoor was very concerning about the company culture and lack of disorganization. I honestly wasn't too sure about this company after reading those comments. Anyway, after I received that email about the need to re-schedule for the following week, a few days later I received communication that they honestly needed to conduct the interview urgently the same week. I expected some sort of email where I can provide my availability, because I had already made plans/other appointments. Unfortunately, that was not the case and they proceeded to schedule something based on my original availability that I had provided last week. This was a huge red flag that other people posted about the company on Glassdoor, in regards to the disorganization. Furthermore, it turns out that there was some miscommunication when I actually logged into my video interview, as I was on-time, but somehow I was told that the dates was actually for the next day. As much as people were telling not to continue or accept the position if an offer was made, I still wanted to pursue and see how far I would go in the process, and put the decision in my hand whether to accept/deny the offer to join. In any case, I was informed a few days later that I would no longer be considered for the position. As much as I would have enjoyed the opportunity to be selected for the position, as the role was interesting and something I do want to pursue to get that experience/exposure, I do believe that the culture/leadership would be something that is absolutely not a good fit as I probably would be looking for something better within a month of starting.
