I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Lumious (Herndon, VA) in June 2015
Interview
I would say it was a normal hiring process. After I applied online I had to go through a phone interview, i completed a skills assessment, and then met with the hiring manager 1 on 1. Everyone was very nice and helpful when i came in for my interview. I was told during the 1 on 1 interview what my expectations were.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How are your organization skills?- They asked this question because this is a fast paced work environment. You have to be on your toes with all of your projects/tasks and make sure to stay on top of them.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lumious (Washington, DC) in Mar 2016
Interview
There are four phases to Tech 2000's interview process: 1) a phone interview with a recruiter; 2) a phone interview with the Chief Operations Officer; 3) a face-to-face interview with the Chief Operations Officer; 4) and a panel interview with the President, Chief Operations Officer, and two members of the Business Operations team.
I enjoyed every phase of the interview process. I think the previous interviewer did a good job briefing the next on what we talked about and I didn't have to repeat a lot of information or was asked the same questions too many times. I like being asked similar questions because it sometimes means an interviewer is trying to make sure a candidate hasn't plagiarized their answers or is so unfamiliar with the questions that they answer each differently enough to give their inexperience or ignorance away.
I got the feeling early on that Tech 2000's interviewers were very interested in both my technical knowledge and experience and how'd I fit in with the culture. I liked the open way the Chief of Operations asked me about the way I like to learn, how I like to be communicated with, and how she thought I'd work well (or not well) with various members of the team.
