A company that hires for experienced roles, but still looks at college GPA - absolutely ridiculous.
I understand this when looking for NCGs, but to have this as a requirement for experienced roles is very insulting.
I am not talking about being in the industry for around 5 years, I have worked in lighting and smart home for over a decade and have 18 years of development experience. I breezed through my first round of interviews and scheduled my second round of interviews. They asked for a copy of my college transcripts and when my GPA didn't meet their requirements, they cancelled my 2nd round of interviews.
Normally I wouldn't call a company on this, but to have breezed through my interviews, but to have thing cancelled mid process really got me and I had to call it out.
