I applied online. I interviewed at Lyft (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Met the recruiter at a networking event and was applied through the link they emailed me. The rest of the process was through emails (interests, projects that I'd worked on)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (San Francisco, CA) in July 2018
Interview
Truly it was the most disrespectful recruiter and interviewer I dealt with. I passed the phone interview and got an invitation to onsite. In the morning, when she picked me up from the lobby, she didn't even show me around. The whole time she was playing with her phone while being with me. After the interview, I sent her three very polite emails about the follow up. After TWO WEEKS, she just sent a generic, no-reply, email from greenhouse. I put a lot of time and effort in this, flew there, spent my day, and at the end she just sent a generic email about rejection. Thank you, Ms recruiter!
About the interviewer, during the onsite coding interview, he explained the question wrong compared to what is written on the paper. He gave me the question and said "I am going for lunch. If you need me, call me". I called him at some point to clarify one thing, however he was so angry when he got back and while I was explaining my solution, he kept on cutting me and acting so disrespectful.
Honestly, this has been the worst onsite interview experience for me and made me hate Lyft. Clearly they choose wrong people on board.
