After having a conversation with the recruiter, was invited to interview with the hiring manager the following week. Hiring manager was almost 10 minutes late to the virtual interview which was scheduled for 30 minutes. Standard interview questions about previous experience, why I was interested in Lyra, tell me about a time ______, etc.
What gave me a bad experience was that the hiring manager seemed distracted/ disengaged the entire time, I wasn't sure if she was actively listening. After I responded there would be a 2-3 second pause, before asking another question without acknowledging my response to the prior questions. We ran 5 minutes over the scheduled end time. She then asked me if I had any questions, but immediately stated that she was on a tight timeline and needed to drop and join another meeting soon. I asked 1 question about the expectations over the first 90 days to 6 months in the role. Got a rushed answer with no specifics. Decided to forgo the rest of my questions at that point and end the interview. Overall, I got impression that this seemed more like a check off a to-do list and that the hiring manager did not want to be there. A waste of my time, and an extremely unprofessional experience.
Prior to join the hiring manager interview, Lyra was top 5 for roles that I applied to. However after this interview, I was no longer interested in continuing my candidacy for the role, and focused my attention to another company. A couple of weeks later I received a generic email from the recruiter that the position had been closed.
