I initially applied online and was soon contacted by an internal HR recruiter. Contact moved to telephone after a couple of email exchanges. Everything went very well from the beginning and they seemed very interested in me. I was contacted by the program manager for the position a few days into the process and we ended up scheduling a remote interview via Skype. That interview went very well as I felt very well connected to manager due to similarities in our backgrounds and attitudes. In the end, it felt much more like a "get to know you" than an actual job interview. This was a unique position and I was impressed that the person interviewing me had actually worked in that exact position prior to becoming a manager. He was a great example of the unique culture that exists in the field and was also a great source of information for a newcomer.
