I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MD Anderson Cancer Center in June 2021
Interview
A full three weeks after applying I was contacted for a phone screening interview. This went well, in my opinion, and involved general competency questions and some related chit chat. A couple of behavioral questions were thrown in for good measure. :-) A month after this, with no communication in between, I was contacted for the purpose of scheduling a panel interview. Three person panel, all high level execs. That process was web-based, and lasted an hour. Seemed to go well although no real feedback was/is available. No mention of next steps and nearly two weeks have passed without any news, good or bad. Position remains open and status of my candidacy remains "in review". Based on many other reviews it seems the MDA process can be very slow (exception for nursing, possibly), and with zero information provided to candidates while they sit and stew... ;-)

Interview
Recruiter reached out, had 3 successful interviews and 2 days later saw an article in the local paper that they are no longer hiring. Somewhat disappointed that the department or recruiter never followed up.

Interview
Applied and waited for almost exactly a month for an interview to be scheduled (I was prepared for this due to the other reviews). The interview was a structured panel including the hiring manager, their direct team and some indirect peers. Straightforward questions, ample time to answer and discuss qualifications; make sure to ask questions! This place is different from the private sector, and I've enjoyed every minute of the recruitment and onboarding process.

Interview
Have interviewed for several roles within the company and every recruiter ghosts if you are not the candidate they want. Out of 4 recruiters, I only heard feedback from one after emailing twice. Interview process is lengthy, they take 2-3 weeks to make a decision. Interview questions are fairly easy but overall the hiring process is a nightmare. It’s unfortunate that a company with such a great reputation does not value the time of prospective employees to give a follow up in a timely manner or at all.
