A friend that worked at Merge recommended me and someone from HR reached out to me. I interviewed with HR as well as two other people that were a part of the team I would join.

They asked about my current role, why I was looking to leave, what I was seeking in my new role.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MERGE in Aug 2013
Interview
I conducted a phone interview with the HR representative that went really well. She asked questions about my background and experience. She explained the job and what they were looking for in a candidate. It all seemed to fit well. I was invited for an in person interview with one of the Vice Presidents. What a complete waste of time! She essentially said they were really looking for someone that had healthcare experience. I wanted to ask her, "then why am I here?". I don't have healthcare experience, nor did I claim to have healthcare experience. She really didn't bother asking about my experience or any of the successful projects that I have run. I also spoke with the HR representative afterwards and had a great conversation with her. She asked more follow up questions that gave her a better understand as to my background. There seemed to be a disconnect between what they say they want and what they actually want.
