I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MERGE (Boston, MA) in June 2023
Interview
Professional talent team, recruited via LinkedIn at a mutually opportunistic career juncture. The talent team was highly communicative throughout process. Salary expectation discussions during initial phone screen, reiterated at each phase. I got to see both sides of the recruitment process during my tenure and was appreciative of the rigor.

Question 1
Frequent revisiting of comfort with the role (it was a function switch for me)
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at MERGE in May 2022
Interview
Initial phone interview was 45 min long, and then two, one-hour interviews scheduled with key decision makers. All went well; standard "tell me about yourself and your background" discussions.
I got excellent feedback and was put through to the next round of interviews, which included an additional FOUR people - 45-60 min each. Again, excellent feedback, everyone loves you. Please come back for another interview with our VP. Another hour discussion "tell me about yourself and your background."
Then...silence.
Follow up. No response. For weeks. Until I was told the job was awarded to someone else.
They invited me to interview for another position, which I did for an hour and never heard back.
All in I invested 9 hours with Merge just to be summarily dismissed. Disappointing.
