I did 2 interviews within a week and was offered the job a couple of weeks later. The timeframe they gave me was accurate to when I received the offer. HR communicated with me regularly to update me on the process
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me questions regarding my past project work and my comfort with GIS. They also asked me about my organization skills and time management strategies in a fast paced environment.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MGT (Tampa, FL) in July 2025
Interview
It started out great and efficient. I received a call from HR on a Wednesday and was interviewed on Friday by two people who work within the division I would work in. Extremely friendly folks. The issue came after the interview. The HR guy said they were wanting to fill the position quickly, so I emailed him 5 business days after the interview inquiring on next steps. I waited another 8 business days with no reply. I then call him on the 9th day and he nonchalantly states they decided to not move forward with me. He then states he doesn’t know why the email wasn’t sent out and that he would get that together. I told him I emailed him two weeks ago with no response so don’t bother.
As a professional I have a basic standard, always be professional and courteous. I’ve been cursed at and still remained professional. I’ve been swamped with deadlines but still helped clients out(even if that’s simply redirecting them to someone less busy). HR professionals know the bare basics but this person decided not to send out a simple three sentence email. Since I knew this job needed to be filled quickly and I was super excited, I stupidly held off on my job search.
