I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at MIT (Cambridge, MA)
Interview
40 minutes with the hiring manager. Very pleasant, conversational interview. Basically about my background and why would I like to work there. Also, we discussed their expectations and then the hiring manager answered my questions about work culture, and how it looks like working there.

Question 1
How would you describe your best work environment?
Took 2 months from first interview to decision, not much communication between steps during the process, had to reach out for updates. 3 rounds, first with hr for phone screen, hour meeting with the hiring manager, then met with 3 faculty members for the last round.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MIT (Boston, MA) in July 2015
Interview
Was contacted by an admin to schedule date and time for face-to-face with Assistant Director of Administration and Administrative Coordinator. Sat down with both at the same time. Was told that the person hired would support three different groups within the department, not including the group that the Administrative Coordinator is part of, which made me wonder why she was in the room since it makes more sense to include reps from the aforementioned groups.

Question 1
The Assistant Director seemed concerned that I may have been overqualified for the position.
