I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory
Interview
First was a phone interview with the HR Representative, which lasted around 30 minutes. The HR representative then made the decision on the spot if I was a good fit. Then was some e-mail back and forth as well as a phone interview with the department head, which was who the person in the position would report to. Most questions related to past experience in academia and previous employment.

Question 1
What previous work related projects/activities have you been given?
I applied online. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (Lexington, MA)
Interview
Pretty standard. Mostly behavioral questions. Asked about some of the skills I listed on my resume. Asked about my career goals and plans after graduation. Very casual. It was a zoom call. Interviewer talked to me about what they do at their specific lab and described some of the stuff that I would potentially be working on if I accepted an internship.

Question 1
Things like "you listed x as one of your soft skills. Give me a time when you demonstrated x ability" etc.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Feb 2022
Interview
Applied via their job site in January and was emailed for a Zoom interview around a month later. I was told that usually, there would be a number of people interviewing me. However, at the time, a significant portion of technical staff were attending a conference. I was given mostly behavioral questions by a single staff member, who also dug into a few of my projects.

Question 1
Describe a time that you overcame a technical challenge within an extracurricular project.
No coding interview - there is a behavioral interview to gauge experience and skills. Very straightforward and the interviewers were very kind. Asked standard questions and told me about their projects.
