I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Jan 2011
Interview
I made email arrangements for an onsite interview. The interview went well, I talked to about 5 different groups. Then I never heard back from them. I emailed the HR rep several times, and he kept saying that he was waiting to hear back from the groups. After a few months, I gave up on them ever getting back to me. This has happened every time I have interviewed at Lincoln Labs (I went to MIT, so I interviewed there when I was finishing undergrad and a few times in grad school). After the interview, they do not bother to say they aren't interested.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
None of the questions were very difficult. We had a conversation about their research and my research as a student.
It was relaxed, 2 talks then got flown out. Conversations were about my work experience, then got asked questions about some specifics. On-site was well organized. Back to back interviews then a lunch with the team.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (Pasadena, CA) in Oct 2024
Interview
I met a recruiter who is also an engineer and alumni of my school at a virtual career fair, where I shared my resume. We scheduled a phone interview for a couple weeks later. The interview was about 1 hr long mostly about my experience and interest, with time for me to ask questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory
Interview
Received email notice of desire to schedule interview and filled out necessary forms. I was then called by a member of talent acquisition but they left no message and did not return my call or subsequent email. Unprofessional.
