      Interview

Very efficient process. Applied online and got invitation for virtual interview a few days later. About two weeks later, had personal phone interview with a member of the show team. Questions were great and the interviewer made you feel comfortable and interested the whole time!

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at MSNBC (New York, NY) in July 2015

      Interview

I submitted a generic online application that was distributed to the various MSNBC departments. A few weeks later, I was contacted through email to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was with a segment producer on an MSNBC show. She asked me basic questions about my experience, my interests, and my availability. Pleasant, low-key experience but you have to work hard to show your character and sociability through a phone interview. Make sure you know some MSNBC shows and can say smart things about them.

      Interview

I had an interview with the line producer. He just asked me some questions, mostly to make sure I was who I said I was and to get a feel for my personality.
