Interview was nice. The recruiter was great to speak with. However, I would caution this companies approach to HR procedures and policies. A few observations. During the video interview, the hiring leader several times engaged with their mobile device. If it were the opposite way around, this would more than likely be a ding against the candidate. Secondly, when I asked a 25 year SR. HR Leader about how the company has responded to COVID 19 and the current social injustice climate, their response was "We do not get into politics here" I think that was an underwhelming response. Third, the recruiter researched my personal social channels and shared with me what he came across. Nothing too alarming. However, you to avoid hiring discrimination, you don't share that you researched someone's personal background. That could lead to biased based decision making based on several factors. That could lead to a huge law suit. Finally, I was not offered to the role due to my lack of having a degree. However, during the initial conversation with the recruiter, I confirmed that I did not have a degree. How unfair was it to take me through an entire interview process just to let deny me the opportunity based on prior knowledge. This is a family owned business and their operations seem and feel very mom and pop.
