I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Makersite in June 2024
Interview
Very disorganized and long rounds. I applied in April and the process until the last round took until June. One time the interviewer didn't show up without canceling in advance. There seems to be a disconnect in their internal communication. Sometimes very rude to the extent that I had to ask to let me finish speaking. Very masculine culture. The CEO gives the impression of a brilliant AH and that doesn't look good for a career in the long run if you have views that are not similar to him. I thought we all moved on from addressing people or engineers with just masculine pronouns and use inclusive language which doesn't seem to be the case here which says a lot about the culture of the company.

Other Senior Software Engineer interview reviews for Makersite
Usual Different stages trying to cover team fit, technical challenge, behavioural, etc. Everyone was really pleasant to speak with. They made the process easy going and not stressful at all. Last stage with the CEO where trying to get to know you a bit better.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Makersite in Nov 2021
Interview
Lean and clear interview process consisting of three interviews: an initial screening (by team lead) followed by a technical interview (by senior software engineer) and a final interview with the CEO. All interviewers were very professional and respectful, and the quality of the questions and discussions was high; they really wanted to understand your strengths and potential for the company. Overall, an interesting and enjoyable process.
