Applied and had a phone screen shortly after. It was a typical phone screen and then was moved on to the technical take home assessment. Part 1 of the assessment consisted of SQL questions that weren’t too difficult. Part 2 was a slide deck presenting a proposal to a customer based on analysis of some data tables, as well as writing up a formal client report. They say you should only spend 1 hour on part 2, but after over hours of analyzing (very outdated) data and only making a dent in the presentation it was no longer worth it to continue. It’s frustrating that creating a client deck and doing in depth analysis is part of the interview when that isn’t in the job description for the role. They should align the interview process with the specific role to respect everyone’s time.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mammoth Growth in Nov 2021

- Take-home code assessment - This had a coding and analysis angle.

- Offer
The team was quick to respond and transparent.
