I applied online. I interviewed at Manychat in Oct 2025
Interview
Streamlined interview process with plenty of communication throughout from the recruiter. Take home assignment was clear and not asking for too much/work that could be used by the company later. Enjoyed each step and everyone I talked to.

About knowledge of SEO and LLM search and writing for them.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Manychat (Barcelona) in June 2024
Interview
nice and friendly. professional questions straight to the point. I had an initial conversation with the recruiter, followed by interviews with team members and the hiring manager. The process focused on my portfolio, design thinking, collaboration style, and how I approach feedback and problem-solving. There was also time for me to ask questions about the team, culture, and expectations for the role. Overall, the process was straightforward and conversational.

Question 1
how do you decide when a design is finished, especially when there are endless possibilities to keep refining it?
Everyone I spoke to throughout the process was warm, engaged, and impressive. The culture came across as positive and the people were a real highlight.
However, the process itself was poorly managed. Communication between rounds was inconsistent and I had to chase for updates on multiple occasions. At no point was the full structure of the process made clear. Each interview was conducted by a different person and nobody could tell me how many stages remained. In total there were six interviews plus a task, which is excessive for this type of role and places a significant burden on candidates.
After six interviews, a completed task, and references being requested, I was told there was a hiring pause... It became clear that internally the company had realised they were looking for a different role entirely after I saw a different posting on LinkedIn. Felt a bit like I was being strung along until they came to that conclusion.
The people at Manychat are clearly talented, and the culture feels genuine. It would be nice if that kindness and culture trickled down to the recruitment process!
