      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mariano's (Orland Park, IL)

      Interview

It was definitely a long process. There were 3 interviews. The first interview was on the phone, which only lasted about 10 minutes. I was then asked to come in 2 days later for a face-to-face interview. After that interview, I was scheduled for an interview with the store director 3 days later. Directly after the interview with the SD, he congratulated me and had me do some background check info on the computer. That took 5 days to process. I came in that day to do some paperwork, then had to wait a week for orientation. So if you want a job quickly, Mariano's would not be the place to apply. P.S. I didn't get drug tested, either.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What are your strengths/weaknesses? Describe a time you received/provided good customer service. How would you describe yourself?

      Interview

Had two interviews. One with HR manager and other with store manager. Did not drug test. They responded on time and in a promptly manner. They were friendly and did a tour of the store and allowed me to meet future coworkers.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Mariano's (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2016

      Interview

I applied online. I got a call back right away, it only took about 2 days. I was then interviewed at Mariano's Fresh Market. I received a call to schedule an in person interview. I then met with two managers both were very friendly and professional and it was all in the same day. After the two interviews I did I had to do some computer work for my background check.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Mariano's asks about your previous jobs, how long you worked there, what departments did you work in. Why did you leave those jobs? What's your availability? What are you expecting to get paid? What are your strengths and weaknesses? Why do you want to work at Mariano's? When there was a customer that was upset what did you do to solve the problem? What do you think you need to improve on? Describe a time you provided good customer service. What would your former employers say about you? Make sure you smile in the interview! They want to see you smile and be positive. Show them that you really want the job!
