Interview
The process was an interview. It took place when I was applying for the job. It was general and direct. I qualified. I completed. I was interviewed. I did not fail interview. I passed.
I interviewed at Mario's Italian Restaurant (Rochester, NY)
Interview
There were three interviews. Relatively easy questions; such as, “is there anything preventing you from doing your job, and how do you deal with toxic people?” Once answered, spoke with another hiring manager, then the owner.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Mario's Italian Restaurant (Detroit, MI) in June 2012
Interview
None. You go in and leave a resume. Then a week later you come in and ask for a job, I almost guaruntee they will have a position open. If you apply for waitstaff there is more of a process and they grill you to see if you know wine pairings along with bar selection just because they push you to reccomend alcohol with every meal. I had friends that also applied here before I did and left about a month later. They said they just left a resume and then were called in to come and sit for a bit with the boss. He just asked them about a little bit of experience but as soon as he get a look at you he knows whether he wants you working for him or not.
