Screening call with an outside recruiter to go over qualifications. Multiple phone calls with the CRO. I applied and went through this process well over a year ago and this role is still open. My last phone call with the CRO was him saying our next step would be to get me up to Boston to meet in person and I would be hearing back from the outside recruiting firm. Weeks went by and I was regularly kept up to date by the firm that they were being ghosted by Marketspark. After about 3 or 4 weeks, they finally let me know they were able to speak to them and were told they found a candidate without the firm's help and would be going that way instead. Pretty unethical when you contracted with a recruiting agency. Again, this role is still open over a year later. My conversations with the firm concluded with them telling me to steer clear of Marketspark and that they would personally be dropping them as a client. Since this role is open, I share this in hopes of saving someone else the trouble of going through this.
