The process took 4 days. I interviewed at MasonHub (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Process is quick. Interview is similar to actual work. But they interview when they don't have the headcount. End to end process took less than a week and despite nailing all the interviews I was rejected, in favor of a referral. This is kinda shameful.

Question 1
Pair programming on a RESTful backend written in Go
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MasonHub in Aug 2022
Interview
Recruiter phone call, then a call with the engineering manager to discuss process/tech stack, then an in-person project-based technical.
The chat with the engineering manager went really well, I enjoyed it as a get-to-know-you and a casual discussion of technical stacks and tradeoffs. It was convivial and collaborative.
They gave me a link to the repo in advance, but I understood there was no expectation of working ahead. The repo was a small golang backend, with questions around debugging/implementing/testing a couple of endpoints.
I had received the repo and was prepared for the interview when they canceled the night before--they had met head count and wouldn't be moving forward. Oh well!
