I applied through university. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Augusta, GA)
Interview
How many ways can you say "big joke"! I'm glad that this experience turned out the way it did. I should have immediately left this location when I saw a therapist wearing shorts as a part of his uniform. Wow, talk about tacky; he would have been right at home dressing like this for a job requiring working outdoors, but inside a spa???? Umm, no. My "interview", or lack thereof was with the "lead" slouchy-looking therapist. Interesting how she was in such a hurry, and expected me to rush through the session in order to accommodate her obvious lack of time management skills and even greater lack of professionalism. And the parking at this location---- big joke. Small and cramped, just like the minds of the staff there.
During the session she tells me that my pressure is too light----- judging by the appearance of her back she needed a clearing masque applied instead massage. And as she decides interject interview questions during the middle of the hands-on practical, it becomes more apparent that her interest revolves around my military background instead of skills as a licensed massage therapist. So glad that this charade of an "opportunity" fell through. I should have paid attention to all of the reviews about this company, as ME makes qualified licensed massage therapists look bad. They lost an experienced, qualified, and professional therapist and client as well.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Venice, FL) in July 2025
Interview
Interview process included an in-person interview with the manager of the location I applied to. After sitting down with the manager and discussing my experience and availability, I completed a practical to demonstrate my skills. I was offered a position at the end of the interview and then moved forward in the onboarding. Overall exactly what one would expect when interviewing for a massage therapy position.
Phone then in-person interview then a Practical. It was quick and easy. The interview went well. And was informative. Interview was not difficult at all. Got to also tour the building
They asked me some good questions we also toured the clinic and they gave me a run down of how they operate day to day. I got alot of questions about how I would respond in certain situations.
