I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MasterClass in May 2025
Interview
The interview process was well-structured and efficient. My interviewers were thoughtful and engaging, and I especially appreciated getting to meet with potential cross-functional stakeholders. Lauren, the recruiter I worked with, was especially helpful—clear, responsive, and supportive throughout the process. Even though I didn’t accept the offer, the experience was highly positive.
I was contacted by HR via email with request to send my availability. I sent it promptly and never heard back. I followed up again later when I saw the job was open and still nothing. Unprofessional and lousy. It's not worth wasting time with them base on what I'm reading here anyway.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MasterClass (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Got contacted by a third party recruiter who had great communication.
Had an intro meeting in person with hiring manager that mostly went over my background and relevant experience.
Then had a phone interview more about skills and standard product sense
Had on-site with COO, hiring manager, PM, design, and eng. Overall it was a great experience. Everyone was nice and generally interested/engaged and I felt they wanted me to succeed.
In the end, I didn't get an offer due to my own shaky performance in one of the categories, but I left with a good impression of the team. I recommend Masterclass to prospective candidates because the team treated me well and are very talented.
