I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks (New York, NY) in Aug 2016
Interview
As mentioned in the already available review, choose 2 sections out of 5.
I chose MATLAB and C/C++, options are available to chose python instead of MATLAB and java instead of C/C++.
In C/C++ section questions were not so difficult, but in MATLAB must know a lot of inbuilt functions/commands.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Find the maximum difference between the elements of an array, where only array is passed as an argument to the function.
Create a derived class from two classes already defined. Initialize the private members of the base class, create a constructor and add a function whose syntax was given.
In MATLAB, questions were asked on private functions, plots, subplots, hold on command. Concatenation of arrays, horzcat command, output of code snippets.
There were three phases for recruiting procedures. The first stage was a brief and relaxing conversation, the second stage was about technical things and hiring manager asked several questions in the third stage.
