I applied online. I interviewed at Matic in Sept 2024
Interview
3 rounds, 1st is take home, 2nd with co-founder Navneet, didn't make 3rd.
Good questions, covering a broad range. Interviewers was helpful and communicative.
Whole process was very pleasant, they gave insightful and detailed feedback, were responsive and easy to organise with. Ultimately they were looking for someone with a little more experience to hit the ground running as they're a startup.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1st round was a take home q in your language of choice, aiming for speed and memory optimisation. They were nice enough to give me a 2nd chance at it to improve on my 1st submission, so I went down the compiler/SIMD rabbit hole in C++ and got through to the next round.
2. Interview with Navneet, talked about our respective backgrounds, and whether to interview more for the research (more theoretical, open ended) or implementation (C++, optimisation) side of things. Went more with the latter. 5 questions, algebra, probability, C++, and finally algorithms. 1st part simple leetcode, then a 2nd part with added constraints for embedded systems requiring a different algorithm.
