I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Mattel (El Segundo, CA) in June 2010
Interview
Overall Mattel seemed like a great company to work for since it was in Fortunes Top 100 Companies to Work For b/c of their tuition reimbursement programs, baby sitting program, etc. But once I walked through the door I just was not comfortable. I did not feel welcomed by the first person that interviewed me. He was a tech guy and was sizing me up which I did not appreciate. Also, there were two people that were supposed to interview me that did not show up to work on that day which was a bit unprofessional. Overall, I only got good vibes from one VP in HR but I did not come there to work for her so overall it did not work out. I do not think that the HR person that screened me did a good job b/c it was clear to me as soon as the first guy interviewed me that it was not a good fit.

Question 1
You had to give detailed examples of what sort of projects you have done in Excel. It was a basic exercise but the interviewer made it difficult.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mattel (New York, NY) in May 2012
Interview
Each interview was 30 minutes long. The formate for the interview was in a one on one style. I had an interview with Human Resourses, VP of sales, the person who I would be reporting to and another person on the team. The were set up back to back, so it was a little exhausting towards the end.
