I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Maurices (Pittsburgh, PA) in June 2014
Interview
They were pretty desperate for staff it seemed like, but I was likeable enough. The interview was just a few questions about conflict resolution, past experience, upselling, selling credit cards, fashion/fashion for plus sized women, my availability, etc. I was surprised to be offered the assistant manager position after I turned down the associate position (it was 12 hours or less). It turns out that turnover at these stores is very high, due to the demands the company puts on its staff. There are usually a minimum of 3 sale changes a week and the pressure to sell credit cards is very, very high.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Maurices (Little Rock, AR) in Feb 2024
Interview
Very easy and just fun at the same time it was a good time working at Maurice’s. My interviewer was very understanding from my perspective and experience as well. It lasted about it 30 minutes
I applied online. I interviewed at Maurices (New Bern, NC) in July 2023
Interview
Phone interview was ok. The questions were about recent experience, fashion knowledge and availability. It felt like they were read off of a paper with little to no interest or engagement in my answers unfortunately but the woman was nice.

Question 1
What types of fashion trends have you noticed lately?
Very nice and clean. I enjoyed talking with them and they were very professional. They asked me some questions that weren’t hard at all and it made the interview go by quick. The manager was sweet.
