I applied for the position via Craiglist. I was then interviewed via phone by the People Operations/HR person. She was very nice. I was asked to come in and interview with 5 people (This included the Operations/HR person). It was a block of 2.5-3 hours. I interviewed with the Operations/HR person, the Executive Assistant, and the COO. After meeting with the COO I was told by the HR person that CEO couldn't get out of a phone call and the Office Manager was not answering her phone. I figured things come up and I had really enjoyed getting to know everyone thus far. She said a call would be setup with the other two people to finish the interview process. Unfortunately I received a declination the very next day without ever receiving the chance to finish the interview process. This did not sit well with me since the CEO himself says he meets with all candidates seeking to work for their company. I was excited to have the opportunity to tell the CEO why I think I'd be a good fit and to share my passion for the industry. It just left a bad feeling to have blocked out that time to interview and then not be given that chance to finish the process. I feel whether you're interviewing to mop the floors or build the product...everyone should be treated equally. I know the CEO's time is valuable but so is the time of those seeking employment. I was expecting to finish the process offered to me before receiving a declination. The people I met were very nice but the execution of it all just wasn't good in the end.
