I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McKesson (Richmond, VA) in Jan 2018
Interview
I applied for a position online and was contacted a few days later by a recruiter. She said that the role I applied for was already filled, but wanted me to apply for a different (and somewhat similar) role. I did so and we set up a phone screen for a few days later. After the phone screen, she immediately set up an onsite interview (3 rounds) scheduled 4 days later. At this onsite interview, I met with my would-be manager, the manager of the team adjacent to mine, and the manager of those managers.
I left the interviews feeling very confident and was contacted the next day by my recruiter telling me the interviews went well. After a few days, she reached out to me and told me that some paperwork needed to be filed, but I would be very happy soon. Sure enough, about a week later they called with an offer, which I accepted.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell me about a success you've had - what pain points did you identify? How did you come to a solution? Who did you have to convince of that solution? What were the final results?
The final round interview was rushed, as if it was a chore rather than an interview. I got the impression the interviewer had already made up their mind before starting the interview and treated the interview as a formality. This was in stark contrast to the previous interview, where the interviewer actually listened and engaged in a conversation.

I applied online. I interviewed at McKesson in Aug 2025
Interview
I was contacted by McKesson’s virtual assistant to schedule an interview with a talent advisor on Teams. I prepared well for the interview, but when the scheduled time came, no one showed up. I emailed the talent advisor and never received a response. This was several weeks ago and my candidate portal still shows I am in the “interview stage”. Despite reaching out to Human Resources twice about the position, I have not heard back, which is quite disappointing.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at McKesson (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2025
Interview
HR round - Asked about my experience. This is to ensure that my experience briefing has the keywords that are matching the job requirements. Importantly, also to ensure communication and confidence.
Second round with Team member and hiring manager. Most derived out of my own experience. Again it confidence, clarity, analytical background such as familiarity with sql, powerbi, etl, communication were important factors.
