I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at McKesson (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2013
Interview
The process itself was straight forward with no major surprises. What was very unusual, from my perspective, was the number of interviews and lack of personal face-to-face meetings. I went through 16 different interviews over a 3 month period only to find out that an internal candidate received the offer. All in all, it was a good interviewing experience on how to handle multiple interviews for one position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The usual questions regarding the what-ifs were asked and also different scenarios were given to test my responses. There we no real unexpected questions but many of the interviewers didn't even know why they were in the interviewing process.
Manageable, but not over the top. Similar to a pharma interview. I needed to close the hiring manager. There were 4 interviews in total and 1 field ride. The interview process took 3 weeks.
I applied online. I interviewed at McKesson (Richmond, VA) in July 2025
Interview
I applied with my resume for an interesting position with an attractive pay range. Gia, the AI assistant, helped schedule a Teams interview. The recruiter was clearly reading from a script with a checklist, and when I answered everything positively, I was told the top of the pay range was significantly less than what was advertised.
It was an average interview. Same questions you would be asked for any similar position at another company. Hiring manager was friendly enough, but it seemed like they were somewhere else mentally.
