The recruiter was great, clear communication and a smooth setup. The next stage was an in-person technical interview where I had to review a pull request, exactly like a normal PR in a real project. The panel was friendly and professional.
The task itself was straightforward: look through the code, flag issues, and suggest improvements. Nothing tricky, just standard engineering thinking around structure, React patterns, accessibility, and logic bugs. The interviewers gave the option to think silently or talk through the review, which was helpful. Unfortunately, since I haven't done an in-person interview since 2018, I blanked on a couple of questions and code views that after I left the building the answer came to me straight away.
Overall, the experience was positive. The process was organised, expectations were clear, and the format was practical and relevant to real work. If you’re comfortable reviewing PRs and explaining your reasoning, you’ll be fine.
