      Analyst, Or Something Interview

      20 Oct 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Palo Alto, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Medallia (Palo Alto, CA)

      Interview

In person with two members of team. I applied for a position as an analyst, which I thought was a good fit to my temperment, but discovered upon arrival that the more senior interviewer had other plans. The view was that I could help them out in a public role, which, sadly, had been the aspect of my current job that I least enjoyed. Unfortunately, my lack of enthusiasm for a higher level position that I did not seek seemed to have disqualified me for the job that I did seek. A bit surreal.

      Question 1

Not so much a question, but being informed that I was interviewing for an unadvertised position that I didn't seek.
