I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medcaptain Medical Technology (São Paulo, São Paulo) in Feb 2025
Interview
I was invited to a Customer Service job interview scheduled for Monday at 11 AM. At the scheduled time, I joined the call, but after an hour of waiting with no response, I sent a polite and professional email, offering to reschedule in case of any issues. Two days later, I received a brief and unexpected reply: “How about Friday at 10 PM?”. It was unusual, but I accepted due to my interest in the role.
When the interview finally happened, the interviewer was unprofessional and arrogant, offering no apology for the previous lack of communication. He also questioned why, at 28 years old, I was “still” finishing my degree, implying I should already be pursuing a master’s. I explained that access to higher education in Brazil can be expensive and challenging and that everyone has their own timeline. Coming from a humble background where few had the chance to attend college, his remark hit a nerve. I added that a degree doesn’t define competence, just as many graduates either don’t work in their field or lack the necessary skills despite their diploma.
To make matters worse, he couldn’t provide basic details about salary or benefits. And then, mid conversation, I realized the position was actually for Engineer, not Customer Service, the role I had applied for.
Hands down, this was the worst interview experience I’ve ever had, completely disorganized and unprofessional.

Interview
MedCaptain discriminates the applicants because of their age. They do not know that practice is illegal in most countries, or they just do not care at all. That is too bad.
