It was phone interview. The interviewer was rude. He acted like he was like a prince sent to deal with the poor peasants. "Unprofessional" would be an understatement. Some of the words used were "Man! you speak out of your mouth whatever first comes to your mind", "Stop talking and listen to me". In one of the questions which involved understanding of some rule to solve the problem which he didn't explain properly. I asked for an example. "No, I'm not giving any example, man! Figure it out yourself". He had taken some question from GeeksForGeeks and had definitely not solved it himself. I know it because when I asked him some edge case condition, he said "Wait let me check" (Also I found this question later on GeeksForGeeks). I've taken interviews myself and I only ask if either I am sure that the question is worth being asked in a phone interview in limited time or solved it myself. This guy didn't even know what the question entailed. He wasn't interested in the approach, he just wanted a solution right away and kept making irritating noises whenever I told my approach, because he had to un-mute his phone to respond back. He just wanted the solution, no matter how I got it. He was fine with me not disturbing over the phone call so that he could work on something with phone on mute. I could as well copy the solution from GeeksForGeeks and he would be fine with it. That is not how interviews are taken, especially phone interviews!
If he gets irritated just on phone interviews itself, I wonder how he or the employees at Media.net work with each other. It must be a nightmare to work at such a place.
I ultimately solved the questions he gave me. But I'm not interested in working at such a place!
