Medic Software Engineer interview questions

Applied for a software engineer position. Got into a call with a Team Lead. After discussions and general questions about background and interest, I was assigned a take-home test with a one-week deadline for submission. Funny thing is that after working on the take-home assignment and submitting it according to instructions, the interviewer went completely silent. Not even a rejection mail was sent. According to me, this was an absolute waste of time, and they could just have ended the interview at the phone screen stage. It shows a completely don't care attitude by the interviewers and total disregard of the time of the person they are interviewing.
